Sometimes we are unable to breathe because our grief is so overwhelming. We may want to go to sleep and not wake up to face the nightmare our life has become. We want to know why and we want to know how this could have ever happened. Our body cannot produce any more tears and the hollowness in our chest is a consuming well. It may feel like our brains cannot process or know anything, we do not know who we are anymore and do not care. Our body will shake, we will be numb and we cannot process anything other than sadness or loss. We may feel that we are raw, bleeding from the heart and have no idea how to move forward without the person that we love so dearly.
Whether it be politics, sports or philosophy I expect there to be a certain amount of disagreement in the world. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and beliefs and that is the way of the world. What I have difficulty understanding is why we have to devaluate, insult and make cutting remarks about friends, strangers, politicians and celebrities to prove our points?
Have you ever heard of the term Ad hominem? It seems I live my life in this argument and especially so since I appeared on an Episode of Hoarders Buried Alive. An example of ad hominem is, “Anyone who believes in Moriah as medium is stupid and must be very uneducated.” When you attack a person rather than dealing with the argument itself is an Ad hominem.
Write your post here.I love my family and friends more than anything. I would move heaven and earth to help people. If I had 100 hours in a day it would be grand. I unfortunately run on Moriah time. I have Attention Deficit Disorder and have for all of my life. I must say having ADD has made me more creative, fun and impulsive. I sometimes think it benefits my ability to be intuitive. But to my friends and family who love me, I am in constant fear of disappointing those who I cherish the most.
Over the course my career I see a common theme with people who want to help their spouse, family member or friend. That is that we don’t like to see people suffer. We do our best to make people happy and often break our spiritual backs in the process.
The nature of being alive is that we will suffer. We will have joy and we will have tears. It’s completely natural. We have decided that suffering is bad and happiness is good. But in order not to suffer as much, contrary to popular belief we have to accept both suffering and happiness as equals. There are no get out of jail free cards in life. We lose our children; we lose our parents, spouses and best friends. We have to live our life the way it is, rather than the way we have it in our minds eye.
Good grief! This might me the most disjointed, and discombobulated blog yet. I am answering the most common questions that are asked of me. If you have any further questions, just ask in the comment box, and I’ll answer.
Is your name really Moriah?
Yes! I was born with the name, and it’s even in my High School yearbook.
